After sitting on the 15 and 35 for months, Zhayolm finally put out last night. The result:



That puts me at 3/5 completed pieces of the Ares Set. Already have the 15 and 35 for the Feet and the 15 for the Mask, not in a rush to upgrade either though, especially the Mask.

Its also the 2nd completed piece for our group, hopefully we'll finish a 3rd today.

That's how things feel like lately. Harness still hasn't sold from Sandworm and I guess people are hurting for money or something. Best part is that some of the ones complaining weren't at our last Ixion which I just paid out 160k each to people. Oh well, more money for me.

Also finally got Byakko's Haidate this weekend. We had to wait like 2 hours at the portal for a group trioing it. Yes, trio. Thf, Rdm, Whm. Ended up calling a GM at one point thinking some ls was zombieing it. GM said "some groups take longer than others to kill things." Wtf is that shit? GM was nice and spoke English better than any I've seen, but it would be nice to see some consistency. On the plus side they didn't need the N.Hands that dropped for them and gave them to us. I was the fastest to drop party, so I got them. /lewthor

Hopefully we'll do some more Sky Gods this week and finish with Kirins this weekend. After that, hopefully either Sea or ZNM stuff.

I'm pretty much dead set on upgrading a Mythic Weapon. Not like when I wanted to upgrade Gungnir and changed my mind though. Mythic just seems alot more doable based on the (currently known) requirements:

Not a whole lot since the last update. Drk is now 65. Party ended with me at 224.3 or so Scythe skill so I headed to Cape Terrigan as Drk/Dnc with my NPC and skilled on EM Bunnies til I got Cross Reaper. I still need to eventually skill up Great Axe and Axe, but those can wait til 75. Thanks to Pld I don't need to worry about Great Sword til 250+ skill. I did the solo ENM60 again on Drk. My record was still there and I beat it this time by about 6 seconds. 0/2 now on the drop.

Eig & Leeto have been busy with RL things, so I started organizing the Salvage runs for our group. Thankfully Eig & Leeto help with keeping track of time and where we go when they're on since I'm still getting used to things. I think I'm getting pretty good with calling out cells though. Our last run was Silver Seas with a new backline that worked very well for us: Rdm/Whm, Sch/Rdm, Brd/Whm, Cor/Whm, Mnk/Nin, Sam/War & Blm/Whm (in solo party). Our goals were Powderkeg & Chariot. Powderkeg didn't put out as usual, but we got both drops we wanted from the Chariot (Ea's Brais which made Haru 3/3 & Usukane Feet making Glou 2/3).

I'm kinda thinking of taking myself off the Morrigan's Pigaches list since I don't use Rdm as much anymore. Plus once I get Drk to 75 that'll be 3/4 of the jobs that can use Ares as opposed to 1/3 for Morrigan's and 1/4 for Usukane.

Einherjar has been a pain to us lately. Our last 2 runs (Tier 3) we've got the Behemoth boss which is a pain in the ass. We timed out both times...

In the HNM world, I can't really say too much since they've been out of my playtime. There was a CFH Faf a week or so ago that was fun though.

Lack of update was due to a combination of real life issues and procrastination. Short update for now.

Been leveling Drk, currently at 62. I *think* the only thing I have left to get for zerging is Bloodbead Ring. Kinda hard to get that though when HNM camps take priority and the Nyzul group I just started up has a priority on clearing disks for people to upgrade Mythic Weapons (I'm planning on Polearm).

HNMs have been up and down. We went through some time with very few claims, then lately we've been claiming more. I think part of the reason is that other shells have been camping less and things have been spawning early.

Campaign has been alot of fun on Pld. I'm now allied to Windurst since it has the gear I'm most interested in (Have Cobra Hands, Legs & Feet for Rdm Conserve MP; The other set looks nice for Dnc, but I never use it...) and its members actually make progress in Campaign. Yesterday in West Saruta [S] I pulled Kazan the Annoying into Flame Giant & another named NPC I can't remember and they just tore him apart while everyone else fought the lesser stuff. And I love how the Salvemixers cure me while I tank. Nice to have Cure 3 instead of the Cure 1s I would get in Bastok.

That's all for now I guess.

With the next version update, there's going to be an adjustment to merits. Tier 2 will be increased to the same numbers as Tier 1 and hopefully Dnc will get Tier 1 merits.

Dunno how often I'll update this, but I'm going to try to post "decent" stuff as opposed to the rants/anger posts I made before.

I think from now on I'm just going to focus on Crafting for my updates.

Went 0/6 on Tier 1 Synths.

Mantles still sell for about the same as cost, so I only lost 800k on the ring, but it's signed so I'm happy with it.

Due to retarded people with too much money to burn, HQ Coeurl Hides are up to 20k each. This is completely retarded since they were 5k each a couple weeks ago. This is also due to people rarely exping in old areas. Add that with noobs PLing their crafts and you have a dead market aside from HQ synths. Example:

I attempted making War Boots +1 awhile back since it was basically break even if I NQ'd all (which I did). I sold them off slowly on the AH making sure not to flood the market. I eventually sold them all at a minimal loss (AH Fees mainly). About a month ago, someone else did the same. Here's where they went wrong: They flooded the AH and crashed the market so now only HQ is profit. And it wasn't a small crash unless you have millions to blow on synths. It was a 50% loss plus who knows if they even were able to sell them all.

Another example is Cursed Mitts. Anyone who doesn't mind having NQ must be rejoicing (sp) by the level of stupidity by all the Blms who PL'd cloth.

Unicorn Prices:
Siren's Hair: ~1.2m
Cursed Mitts: ~90k

That's a 1,110,000 loss PER NQ.

Cursed Mitts-1: ~35-45m

This is a Tier 0 synth. To those who don't craft, that means you have approximately a 1/100 chance of HQ unless you get really lucky. But that can also go the other way as seen by Hanarecca's attempt at Genie Weskit (but that's an even harder synth since it has 2 subs). At least he wanted his to keep/use so he knew what he was getting into. It's the ones who spend millions and millions on these Mitts just to sell them off that strike me as being stupid when they could have made other things for net profit. This doesn't apply to those lucky bastards who beat the odds on HQ, but overall I don't see many who have.

Fishing seems to be the last real craft imo since you can't PL your way through that.
